METROPOLIS PROJECT CALL FOR PROPOSALS

This call for proposals involves a survey of literature on official language minority communities in Canada, particularly their success in attracting, receiving and retaining immigrants and encouraging them to contribute to the prosperity of their local communities. The analyses will identify findings and lessons learned relevant to Anglophone minority communities in Quebec.

The research grant will have a maximum value of $10,000.
The final product must be delivered by March 31, 2010.
Researchers affiliated with Canadian post-secondary institutions are invited to submit a proposal by October 15, 2009. Successful applicants must be associated with one of the five Metropolis centres of excellence.

AMC CALL FOR PROPOSALS 2009

The Atlantic Metropolis Centre is pleased to announce its 2009 Annual Grant Competition. This year the AMC is calling for proposals in the following three categories:

Special Strategic Grants - Maximum Value: $50,000
Strategic Grants - Maximum Value: $20,000
Pilot Grants - Maximum Value: $5000

The AMC is issuing a Call for Proposals for pilot projects and strategic grants which focus on the federal policy-research priorities established for Phase III of the Metropolis Project. The intent of the AMC Pilot Projects Grants Competition is to support research initiatives that will facilitate the application for future grants from external agencies.

The deadline to apply for funding is October 2nd, 2009.

In addition to Pilot Project and Strategic Grant funding, the AMC is issuing a Call for Proposals for a Special Strategic Grant Initiative. The grant will be awarded to a cross-domain, inter-institutional, major Atlantic-based research project which addresses one or more of the federal policy-research priorities established for Phase III of the Metropolis Project. Priority will be given to projects that involve regional linkages or a regional dimension, and those that foster linkages with NGOs and government.

The deadline to apply for funding is October 2nd, 2009.
