Mai 2008 Le but du Bulletin est de vous tenir au courant des événements et opportunités au CMA et ses alentours, ses domaines de recherche et partenaires, et au Secrétariat Metropolis. Il contient des informations au sujet des événements prochains, y compris des communications et conférences, des ressources en recherches, appels de propositions et beaucoup plus. 1. Nouvelles du CMALe CMA est heureux d'annoncer les résultats de la troisième compétition annuelle de subventions de recherche. L'évaluation des demandes a été menée par un comité multidisciplinaire extérieur. Post - Dixième conférence nationale MetropolisLe Centre Métropolis Atlantique et le Secrétariat Métropolis ont le grand plaisir d’exprimer une gratitude sincère à tous ceux qui ont contribué au succès de la récente Dixième conférence nationale Metropolis à Halifax. Ceux qui ont donné des communications lors des ateliers ont été offert l’option de faire leurs présentations disponibles sur le web au site internet www.metropolis2008.net. Les séances plénières ont été enrégistrées pour diffusion télévisée sur CPAC (Chaîne d'affaires publiques par câble). Les vidéos sont également disponibles en ligne au site internet www.cpac.ca. qui fonctionnent dans la langue officielle de leur choix. Sacred and Secular in a Global Canada: Past, Present, and FutureFriday, May 9 to Monday May 12, 2008. Sacred and Secular in a Global Canada will focus on a range of disciplinary aspects regarding religious presence and diversity within the Canadian social landscape. Some topics to be covered include: public policy, reasonable accommodation, immigration, community identity, intergenerational changes, First Nations spirituality, Judaism, Islam, and many others. New Directions in Population Health Research: Linking Theory, Ethics and PracticeCPHR & SPHERU Conference 2008, November 12 to 14, 2008, Ramada Hotel and Convention Centre, Regina, SK The Community and Population Health Research (CPHR) Training Program and the Saskatchewan Population Health and Evaluation Research Unit (SPHERU) are hosting a national conference to explore recent innovations and existing or emerging trends in population health research as they relate to reducing health disparities for particular communities or populations. The conference will provide an opportunity for academic and community researchers, policy makers and practitioners to highlight the current state of population health research in Canada and abroad.
